The touch is noticeably softer than my old match balls, and that 2mm foam layer really does make a difference on first contact. Bounce feels lively and true off the zero-wing latex bladder, so it holds a perfect line even on uneven grass. Well worth the money for the feel alone.
The raised structure on the surface really does give you a better grip when controlling it on damp grass.
